Definitions


Definitions of common media text:

Target audience – These are the people who are mainly going to be promoted and accommodated to. This is because they are most likely to enjoy what the movie has to offer and will find more pleasure in watching it.
Dialogue – This is the text in which someone has to read out in order to create a scene within the movie.
Special effects – These are illusions that are created and put into the movie to make it more exciting or realistic. This will only improve the movie and expand on its target audience.
Credits/Intertitles – These are added peices of information usually at the end of the trailer to provide the viewer with more knowledge on the upcoming movie.
Pace – This is the speed of each clip or scene within the movie.
Unique selling point – This is what is special about the movie and how it differs from others in the same genre. By having a unique selling point, it can advertise this and show what it has to offer compared to all other movies, however, this will limit them to a smaller targeted audience.
Narrative – The structure of the plot of the trailer
